Tools for Peace School-Based Programs operate in partnership with the following institutions:
Irving STEAM Magnet School
Hubert Howe Bancroft Middle School
Thomas Starr King Middle School
Joseph LeConte Middle School
Dr. Sammy Lee Medical and Health Science Magnet Elementary School
Northern Light Middle School
For nearly a decade we’ve been proud partners with L.A.C.E.R. (Literacy, Arts, Culture, Education, Recreation), an afterschool program operating in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). In partnership with L.A.C.E.R. and the aforementioned schools, we offer weekly Tools for Peace clubs on multiple campuses, where students engage with the TFP curriculum, participate in meditation and mindfulness activities, art, music, writing, community outreach projects, and yoga. We also conduct weekly guest sessions at L.A.C.E.R. with sports teams, Homework Club, etc., to help with team building and academic success.
Tools for Peace has ongoing partnerships with University of California, Riverside’s Emotional Regulation Lab and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to conduct scientific studies of the effects of our School-Based Programs and our Annual Summer Teen Camp.

Take time to celebrate each time you practice mindfulness or meditate, right away—say a congratulatory word, give yourself a thumbs up, do a dance, or imagine celebratory music. The simple act of celebrating creates positive momentum and helps to reinforce new habits.
