Compassionate Leadership
leadership development & certification for youth
Through our Compassionate Leadership Certification program, we train, mentor, and empower emerging leaders. With an emphasis on mindfulness and compassion, participants realize the positive impact they can have on themselves and their communities through greater awareness of their perspective, attitude, and action. Program activities are tailored to be appropriate for the developmental age and activities of the participant.
Peer Mentors: Middle school students in our School-Based Programs have the opportunity to be recognized as Peer Mentors, receiving special certification and practical leadership experience among their peers. Peer Mentors are also invited to participate in supplemental training and leadership roles at our Annual Summer Teen Camp.
Junior Facilitators: Motivated alumni of TFP programs are trained to facilitate the TFP curriculum and provided with an opportunity to lead a TFP club at their respective high schools.
Facilitators: TFP alumni are offered training and paid opportunities to return to our School-Based Programs to facilitate their own Tools for Peace clubs.
The mandala shows that if we develop our internal resources of kindness and compassion, it will radiate from us, and our lives can become more peaceful.
